Elite Sound Waves believes that there are no such things as "stupid questions." If you need to ask a question regarding any aspect of your event, we are here to help. Below is a compilation of some frequently asked questions.

Q: Who will be my Disc Jockey?
A: Once we have our first meeting, I need to find out your needs and match a DJ to the reception. I have DJs for all occasions; some for more conservative events, others for younger age groups or high school dances, others that are French speaking, I have bilingual DJs and also Portuguese as well. So... tell me what are your needs
Q: Can I meet the Disc Jockey who will be entertaining at my wedding, before making my decision?
A: Yes, we make all efforts so you may meet your disc jockey before signing a contract.
Q: Do you charge for travel or set-up?
A: There is no charge for set-up, but we do charge for events that we need to travel far from Montreal.
Q: If my party runs later, can you stay longer?
A: We love a good party and would be happy to stay, we would hate to end your reception prematurely. We charge $100.00 for every additional hour that is paid to the DJ at the end of the evening.
Q: When will you arrive the day of our event?
A: We arrive approximately one hour prior to our scheduled starting time. The way our sound systems are pre wired in the transport cases, it is very quick for us to set up. Please let us know if you need us to set up early.
Q: Do you take breaks?
A: No! You will have continuous music all night long.
Q: I need ceremony music. Can you provide it?
A: Yes! Even if you need ceremony music in a totally different floor, we set-up our system at the reception (as usual) and use a speaker with built in amplifier for the ceremony music anywhere you may need it.

Q: We have never planned a wedding before. Will you help us set an itinerary for the day?
A: YOU BET! We have a "wedding schedule" that helps us be on the same page as the bride and groom. Also, two to three weeks prior to your wedding, we can get together for a consultation and work out all the details regarding the order of events and music program
Q: Should we include you in our count for dinner?
A: Yes Please. In events that dinner music is required a meal would be appreciated.
Q: Do you have lighting available?
A: Yes we do have several lighting effects. We normally set-up two (2) light effects on a "T" bar to light up the dance floor.
Q: Do you have backup equipment?
A: Yes, we have five full sound systems with extra amps, speaker, CD players... we have just way too much stuff.
Q: If something happened to my DJ, who would play at my party?
A: It would take something very debilitating to keep us from entertaining you. In the event this should happen, we have several experienced personnel who could be called in as back-ups. Even if we have to give the contract to an other DJ company, we will never let you down, it is simply not worth losing my name for money!
Q: If I want a song that you do not have, can I loan you my copy?
A: Yes, we can play your compact discs.
Q: What types of music do you play?
A: Whatever you want us to play. We have music from 1935 to today's greatest hits - NO KIDDING!!!
Q: Can I make a list of songs I want played?
A: Yes! We encourage it, you may even download our musical database to help you create your list.

Q: I am working on my frequent flyer miles, can I pay with my credit card?
A: Yes, we accept VISA, Personal Checks and Cash (with proper I.D.).
